Multi-tasking: Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow in a released scene from the upcoming Avengers movie in which she is being interrogated while talking to her boss on a mobile phone
In the minute long clip released online today, the Black Widow – aka Natasha Romanoff – is seen in a scene tied to a chair as she is interrogated by three men, one in an army uniform.
But being the multi-tasking agent she is, Romanoff is also talking on a mobile phone which is tucked under her left ear.
On the other end of the phone is Agent Phil Coulson, played by Clark Gregg, who has called his agent letting her know some urgent news.
Interrogation: Black Widow, also known as Natasha Romanoff, faces her captors
She tells him, ‘I’m in the middle of an interrogation, this moron is giving me everything’, to which the man in question indignantly says, ‘I didn’t give her everything.’
She then tells Coulson: ‘Look, you can’t pull me out of this right now.’
Coulson then reveals to Romanoff that her fellow S.H.I.E.L.D agent Clint Barton, played by Jeremy Renner ‘has been compromised’ to which she stops and says, ‘Let me put you on hold’.

And as her interrogator takes the phone away from under her chin, she kicks him in the stomach and then proceeds to take on him and the other two men, using the chair as a weapon.
Scarlett first appeared as Romanoff in Iron Man 2 alongside Robert Downey Jnr, who reprises his role as billionaire playboy Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man.
Compared to her fellow Avengers, Romanoff has no super powers but is one of the deadliest members of the lineup having been trained by the Russian government as a secret agent and assassin.

But she escaped her Soviet bosses and defected to America and has since proven a key ally.
Author Marjorie Liu, who wrote some of the Black Widow comic series, said: ‘There’s nothing wrong with being a femme fatale super spy, but what makes Black Widow stand out is that she has no powers beyond her own natural, human abilities.
‘And yet, she manages to hold her own amongst all these other immensely powerful, super-enhanced individuals.
‘Not one of them would dare underestimate her. Why? Because she is extraordinarily intelligent and savvy, and a master strategist. Plus, she’s gutsy as hell.’
