Jennifer Lawrence revealed that famous pal Adele told her not to do critically-panned sci-fi flick Passengers alongside Chris Pratt
The 32-year-old two-time Oscar winning actress made the revelation about the 34-year-old songstress in a new interview with the New York Times.
She discussed how her fans were disappointed she took the role after her success starring in The Hunger Games franchise.

Jennifer explained: ‘I was like, “Oh no, you guys are here because I’m here, and I’m here because you’re here. Wait, who decided that this was a good movie?”
‘Adele told me not to do it! She was like, “I feel like space movies are the new vampire movies.” I should have listened to her.’

It was not a bomb at the box office, however, as the sci-fi film with a budget of over $100million grossed $100million in the US and Canada and $203.1million in other territories for a worldwide total of $303.1million.
Passengers was a sci-fi romance flick that centered around Jennifer and Chris as two travelers on a space ship who are accidentally awoken 90 years early from hibernation.
But when it becomes apparent not all is right with the ship, the pair find themselves fighting for their lives.

Even amid the drama, however, Jennifer and Chris’ characters find love with each other.
The Morten Tyldum directed film featured an impressive cast even aside from Jennifer and Chris as it also featured Michael Sheen, Laurence Fishburne, Andy Garcia, Aurora Perrineau, Kara Flowers, and Vince Foster.
It has been a joyful time in Jennifer’s life as back in February she gave birth to her and husband Cooke Maroney’s first child.
