In 2018, Isabella McCune was an 8-year-old girl in Arizona, looking forward to seeing music superstar Taylor Swift on her Reputation Stadium Tour. Unfortunately, a serious accident left McCune unable to attend the Swift show, and also left her with burns on 65 percent of her body.

According to Parade, however, McCune was promised she’d get to see Swift on tour one day—and that promise came from Swift herself.
Swift actually visited McCune in the hospital in 2018, leaving her a note: “Isabelle, I hope you feel better soon. I’m so honored you’ve been listening to my music,” per ABC 15. “You’re so awesome and I can’t wait to have you at a show. Stay strong, gorgeous. Love, Taylor.”

Of course, Swift didn’t go back on the road for five years, releasing four albums in that gap of time, including 2020’s Grammy Album of the Year-winner folklore. But once Swift announced The Eras Tour, she remembered the promise she made five years ago to McClune.
Swift set up McClune and her family with four tickets to a Glendale, Arizona stop of The Eras Tour on Saturday, March 18. The show, which reportedly went for over 3 hours and included more than 40 songs, chronicled Swift’s storied and celebrated career across the different “eras” of her 10-album discography.
“Not only the fact that I’m able to go and I got these tickets gifted to me, they’re from Taylor Swift and her team and they remembered me and thought of me to give me these tickets,” McCune said, adding that Swift’s “music helped me a lot while I was in the hospital.”
