British action hero Jason Statham and his girlfriend, Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whitely are hoping to make a pretty penny on their home in the Hollywood hills.
The couple – who bought the Spanish villa-inspired domicile from actor Ben Stiller and his actress wife Christine Taylor in 2011 for $7.35 million – have just listed the property for $8.999 million.
First built in 1929, the house was restored by New York-based design and architecture studio Roman & Williams, known for their work on the Ace Hotel and the Standard Highline.
Besides Stiller and Taylor, previous owners also include director Lou Diamond Phillips and English filmmaker Gary Oldman.
The sale comes after the pair splashed out $13 million on a new Beverly Hills apartment earlier this year.
The Mediterranean abode features living and family rooms, a den, a library/study, a gym, six bedrooms and six bathrooms and measures at 5,334 sq ft.
The home is described in the listing as ‘serene, romantic, and elegant, with supreme architectural detailing on over half an acre of lushly landscaped grounds that rival the Bel Air Hotel’.
Huntington-Whiteley, who appeared in blockbuster Mad Max: Fury Road, recently told The Edit that Statham is hectic at best.
Over the last few years, the 47-year-old has starred in Expendables 3, Furious 7 and, most recently, Spy.
‘People go crazy for Jason,’ Huntington-Whitely, 28, told the website.
‘It can become a frenzy walking down the street with him.
‘People relate to him and feel like he’s the guy they grew up with, so it’s tricky.’
The house is in the Outpost Estates neighborhood, located in the foothills between Hollywood and West Hollywood.
According to Variety, it’s a popular area with celebrities.
Past residents include Gore Vidal, Orlando Bloom and Scarlett Johansson, and current homeowners include Charlize Theron and Felicity Huffman and William H. Macy.
