Real Madrid might be pretty much out of the La Liga title race but they are still very much in the running for the double. They defeated Barcelona to book their place in the Copa del Rey final. On the other hand, they have one foot in the Champions League semi-finals, after getting a 2-0 win over Chelsea in the first leg of their quarter-final tie.
Most clubs would be delighted in their position. But at Santiago Bernabeu, there is always the need for success, year after year.
And one thing that has become clear is that this squad needs more depth if they are to compete in all three competitions through the course of the season. One player that they have been linked with extensively is Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund. There seems to be some good news in that regard.
As reported by Bild (via Mundo Deportivo), Real Madrid are preparing an offer of €100 million plus €40-50 million in bonuses.

The Bellingham transfer saga has been full of twists and turns to say the least. Initially it had looked like Liverpool were the favourites to sign him. But there have been suggestions recently that they have dropped out of the race since then.
Other clubs like Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and PSG are also believed to hold an interest. And for a while, the rumours surrounding a move to Real Madrid had dropped.
Now, they are back in full flow though as it looks like Real Madrid are ready to make a push to sign Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund. It is not hard to understand why either, as the Englishman has the potential to be the best midfielder of his generation. It has been a while since Los Blancos have pulled off a blockbuster move. That could change this summer.
