New reports have confirmed that famous actress Emma Watson is now single, and rumor has it that fans want to pair her up with One Direction singer Harry Styles.

After a year-long romance with Oxford University rugby player Matthew Janney, Emma’s spokesperson confirmed that the actress has split with Matthew adding that the separation was “amicable.”

In January this year, the former couple was seen having a “PDA filled” vacation in the Caribbean, and they were even seen together in Watson’s press appearances in Spain and in the United States.

However, the couple have decided to break-up because of Emma’s hectic schedule and Matthew’s studies.

Despite the sad news, fans of Harry Styles are hoping that there could be a future between the singer and the actress.

During the British Fashion Awards earlier this month, the two made fans and netizens swoon when the 1D member presented an award to Emma.

“Harry Styles just said the words ‘He For She,'” Emma told the audience, referencing her feminist campaign, “That’s really cool.”

Fans were even more thrilled with the pairing after the duo’s picture emerged on Twitter.

One fan wrote “Harry Styles and Emma Watson in one photo makes my heart melt into trillions of little lakes.”

However, Now Magazine pointed out that it’s not the first time the public have shipped a “Hamma” pairing.

In 2012, the 24-year-old actress and the 20-year-old Harry engaged in a rather flirty Twitter exchange.

After appearing on his BFF Nick Grimshaw’s Radio 1 breakfast show, Emma wrote to Harry to ask him why he only watched part of her film ‘The Perks Of Being A Wallflower’.

“So @harry_styles – when are you going to see the SECOND half of Perks of being a Wallflower?! Huh Huh huh ? @grimmers,” Emma tweeted the singer.

Harry replied: “@EmWatson oh hiiii.. I’m going to watch it now? On the up side, it was the best first half of a film I’ve ever seen.”
