Henry Cavill had an emotional red carpet reunion with The Witcher’s leading ladies Freya Allen and Anya Chalotra as they celebrated the show’s launch in London.
The Netflix series already has a massive cult following and will be dropping onto the site on Friday, so the stars united in London’s Leicester Square for a glitzy celebration.
Henry, who plays monster hunter Geralt of Rivia on the show, took both Anya and Freya into a bear hug as they saw each other, with the two girls co-ordinating in stunning white outfits.
The sweet moment on the carpet comes as both Anya and Freya heaped praise on ‘wonderful’ Henry as a co-star, telling Metro.co.uk about life on set with him.
Anya said: ‘It was great. He is very humble, and I think we hesitate every time the question’s asked just because we try and look for a word better than wonderful.
‘Like it really was, and he is very approachable and down to Earth and respectful and kind fun. Witty.’

Freya agreed and added: ‘He’s funny and has the perfect balance on set. Like he’s able to be really focused, obviously, because he wants to get it right. You know he wants to get everything right.
‘But he can also have a laugh on set which is so nice to have.’
Freya and Anya are playing the two leading ladies of Geralt’s life in the new series, with the aloof magical assassin for hire crossing paths with them both in a life-changing way.
Ciri (played by Freya) is a young princess Geralt needs to protect while Yennifer (played by Anya) may well be his perfect match in terms of wit as well as magical skill.

However, it wasn’t all fun and games, with Henry admitting that after ignoring advice from an eye technician over his required yellow contacts, he ended up struggling to see.
Henry told us: ‘It got to the point where my technician found me hiding in the shadows with my eyes closed because it was very bright. She said take them out. And I said, No, No, I’m fine. I’m fine. I’m fine. Just give me some things to dab my eyes before a scene will be good.
‘She put her foot down and said, “No, I’m stopping shooting until you take them out”.’
‘So the contacts, as cool as they were, they did come with some challenges!’ he laughed.
Already being hyped online as the show to finally fill the void Game Of Thrones left behind, Henry is aware he has some big shoes to fill.
If you’re new to the series and the world we’re about to enter into, don’t worry – Henry’s got you covered for that.
