Selena Gomez has added another tattoo to her extensive ink collection.
In a now-deleted snapshot shared by Bang Bang Tattoo, the 29-year-old actress/singer got a striking blackwork piece inked on her upper back.
The artwork starts at the base of the former Disney Channel star’s neck and trails down between her shoulder blades.

To unveil the new ink, Gomez posed inside the tattoo studio with her back to the camera.
Her black trench coat was put on backwards and she rocked a pair of straight-legged trousers and platform lace-up shoes.
Selena’s shoulder-length brunette hair was parted down the middle and swept out of the way to show off her back tattoo in all its glory.

Including her newest addition, Gomez reportedly has a total of 16 tattoos throughout her body.
She set off her tattoo obsession back in 2012 when she inked a tiny black music note on her wrist.
Selena accumulated several other small tattoos over the next seven years, before taking the plunge and getting a large pair of ‘prayer hands’ tattooed on her left thigh in 2019.

In recent weeks, Selena has been opening up about her complicated issues with body image and feeling comfortable in her skin as an adult woman.

‘I’ve been in makeup since I was seven years old. I feel like that kind of messed with me,’ shared Gomez, who started in the industry aged seven before shooting to fame as a teenager on the Disney Channel.
From 2002 until 2004 she was on Barney & Friends. By 2006 at age 14 she was guest starring on shows such as The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. From 2007 until 2008 she popped up on Miley Cyrus’ show Hannah Montana. And from 2007 until 2012 Selena was the star of Wizards Of Waverly Place.

The Good For You hitmaker went on to label herself as a ‘victim’ of wanting to alter her face because of beauty trends, revealing that creating her year-old Rare Beauty makeup line to encourage others to ’embrace’ themselves for who they really are.
She told Elle: ‘I’ve been a victim to wanting to change my face and do things because I see such like intense trends.
‘I think the most rewarding part of creating this line is that we create a place for people who don’t necessarily want to get work done or change their face.
‘They just want to embrace what they are and what they have. Even if you do like to wear more makeup, even that will kind of work with what my brand.’
The ex of Justin Bieber added: ‘That’s why I wanted the brand to be there for girls and guys and whoever to feel like it’s okay to not look like everybody else.’
