Since Kayla Glines is the first triplet in history to give birth to quadruplets, she has many reasons to be joyful. Kayla, 32, gave birth to Reese, Jameson, Oaklee, and Lincoln against all chances.
Reese, Jameson, Oaklee, and Lincoln came to Kayla’s life like a miracle.
Her incredible journey spans more than ten years of optimism, endurance, hopelessness, and eventually, unrestrained delight as her wish for a family with husband Allen came realized.
Following fertility treatment, she finally became pregnant with triplets.
Two of the children survived, but one passed away in the belly
Kayla was shocked to learn she was going to have four more children when she got pregnant again, naturally this time.
“We absolutely couldn’t believe it when I went in for a scan and the doctor told us I was carrying quads,” she added.
“We had been trying for so many years to conceive naturally, so learning I was going to have four children—especially because I was already a mother of triplets—was absolutely unbelievable.
“We were really worried because we knew how dangerous a quad pregnancy can be, but fortunately, all the babies were delivered without incident.”.
Fortunately, all the babies were delivered without incident.
Before beginning fertility treatment in 2016, Salt Lake City, Utah residents Kayla and social worker Allen had already adopted her brother’s two girls, who are now eight and six.
The quads arrived in March of this year, while two of the triplets were delivered safely in August 2017. The couple now has eight children in all, with six of them under the age of two.
Kayla’s big happy family.
After 10 years of trying, she finally have her own dream life.
“Allen and I still find it difficult to believe what has happened to us”, Kayla continued, “After ten years of trying, we finally have a happy family of eight kids plus ourselves.”.
