Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has shed some light on what he told the Gunners after another disappointing night in their Premier League title chase.
This was after the Gunners managed to get a dramatic 3-3 draw with Southampton on Friday after going 3-1 down.
Arsenal scored two late goals to rescue a point against the bottom-placed club and this will certainly not be helpful for their title chase as they look to hold off Manchester City.
Southampton raced into a 2-0 lead inside 14 minutes and then went 3-1 up midway through the second half but Arsenal knew they had to respond or better still wave goodbye to the title.
Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka came through for them with two late goals.
After the game, Arteta was asked what he told his players in the dressing room and the Spaniard told reporters, “That I love them. Because I know how difficult it was today for them, especially when you make a big mistake like that early on.
“Obviously we’re unhappy with the result, We made it very difficult again for ourselves but mistakes are part of football, the way we reacted, I love my players more than ever.”
