So it seems like the world loves to ship famous Brits with each other – to the point that Emma Watson was recently forced to publicly dispel rumours that she was seeing Prince Harry. Well, at least that’s what her tweet seems to be about.

Not dating Prince Harry. Not even a little bit.

Being Emma Watson, she addressed her fans in the classiest way possible. “WORLD Remember that little talk we had about not believing everything written in the media?!” she tweeted.

The answer to that, of course, would be no, as seen with any news outlet ever.

The 24-year-old star tends to keep her private life private, but it’s kind of public knowledge that the HeForShe activist broke up with her boyfriend Matthew Janney in December 2014. Meanwhile, Harry, 30, had a pretty public split with his longtime girlfriend Cressida Bonas n April of 2014.

So, natch, the media had to jump on that bandwagon and, for the past few days, rumours have been circulating about the pair getting couple-y. But no, the rumours are not true and as far as anyone can tell, both Harry and Emma are as single now as they were at the beginning of the year. But by all means, don’t let that stop you, fanfic writers. Or actually, please do. That sounds like some pretty disturbing fanfic.
