Dwayne ‘The Rock Johnson is a name that even many non-wrestling fans are aware of. The current highest-paid Hollywood star left an everlasting mark in the wrestling world through his decorative career. He gifted countless entertaining matches to the audience before fully diving into his Hollywood journey.
Despite a successful WWE tenure, the 10-time world champion still seems to have one big regret regarding his wrestling career. The Rock revealed his remorse for not being able to have a few more matches with another legendary wrestling figure, Booker T.
During a recent interview with Booker T, Brad Gilmore revealed that Rock once wanted to have a few more great matches with him. He had a short interaction with the Rock about various issues, including Booker T being the desired opponent of The Rock. During the conversation, Brad revealed, ‘We have a three, four-minute little moment with one another.”We sat and talked for a minute and you were one of a topic that were brought up. Do you want to know what the Rock said to me about you.?”
Booker T gave a prompt reply, ‘what was it?’. The host continued, ‘We were talking, and, I said you know I work with Booker down here and he said you know Booker and he said this before on Instagram but he’s like man he was so athletic’
”If I look back at my wrestling career that’s probably my biggest regret is that he and I didn’t have more classic matches he said because he was so gifted, so talented I was just kind of going to Hollywood at the time when he came in he said if I would have stayed man we would have banger after banger’
The six-time world champion had achieved many other accolades, creating a legacy that didn’t even go unnoticed by The Rock. On the other hand, Booker has had similar respect for the Brahma Bull too since their first meeting. Though it was initially a bit intimidating for Booker T, the former King of the Ring seemed to deem this as the most memorable event of his iconic career. Responding to The Rock’s words of appreciation Booker T said, ‘I appreciate that man though seriously I really do yeah’.
Both the legends had memorable in-ring careers and are now occupied with other aspects of their professional life, but still carry mutual respect towards each other.
