Recently, actress Zendaya made Emmy history with “Euphoria”.
According to the Rolling Stones, Zendaya is currently the youngest woman ever to be nominated at the 2022 Emmy Awards at the age of 25. In addition, she is also the youngest lead actress nominated twice ever. Since participating in the award, the actress has owned 4 Emmy Award nominations.
For her role as Rue on HBO’s “Euphoria,” she made history in 2020 as the youngest lead actress to win a TV series (24 years old at the time). Besides, she is the second black actress to win this category, after Viola Davis in “How to Get Away With Murder”.
Her other two nominations were two songs submitted in the music and lyric categories – “Elliot’s Song” from the episode “All My Life, My Heart Has Mongned for a Thing I Cannot Name” and “I’m Tired”. from the episode “You Who Cannot See, Think of Who Can”.
Additionally, she is currently the first black woman to be nominated for acting and songwriting in the same year at the Emmy Awards.
It is known that Zendaya was born on September 1, 1996, in Oakland, California, Zendaya Coleman. Her father is African-American with roots in Arkansas, while her mother has German and Scottish ancestry.
Coming out of Disney Channel, she has achieved a lot of success on the world screen with the title of “Spider-Man’s girlfriend”, and at the same time became a new-age fashion icon.
The biggest turning point that brought Zendaya into the Hollywood movie capital was when she participated in Marvel’s blockbuster called “Spider-Man: Homecoming”, which officially hit theaters in the summer of 2017.
