Harry Kane usually shows his worth on the pitch but he also has plenty to show for his efforts off it.
The Tottenham striker is revealed as having a personal fortune of £50million, according to the 2023 Sunday Times Rich List, which is out this weekend and includes him as one of the 35 richest people under 35 in Britain.
That is up £8million from last year, with his previous listing in 2021 showing him to be worth around £33million, proving he is as savvy with his savings as he is with his shots at goal.
The 29-year-old has scored 29 goals in his 47 appearances in all competitions for Spurs this season and also surpassed Jimmy Greaves to become the club’s all-time leading goalscorer when he scored the winner in the home victory over Manchester City in February, a match that also saw him record his 200th Premier League goal.
The England star subsequently moved above Wayne Rooney and into second place in the Premier League all-time goalscorers’ list when he headed in the only goal of the game against Crystal Palace to move onto 209 goals, although he still has some way to catch Alan Shearer, who tops the list with 260.
All of this is especially impressive when you consider the ongoing turmoil at the club, with manager Antonio Conte having been sacked in the wake of his angry rant at his players after the 3-3 draw with Southampton, with Fabio Paratici also departing after resigning from his position as managing director of football.
Kane’s future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium also remains in some doubt, however, as he prepares to enter the final 12 months of his contract at the end of the season.
Having almost engineered a move to Manchester City two years ago, he has again been linked with a transfer this summer, with Manchester United one club who could make a move for him.
His focus remains on helping Spurs secure European football for next season and although they cannot now qualify for the Champions League, their hopes of making it into the Europa League or Europa Conference League in 2023/24 remain alive, albeit with them potentially needing Brighton and Aston Villa to drop points in the final games of the campaign if they are to do so.
Spurs take on Brentford at home on Saturday lunchtime before they close their season with a trip to Elland Road to face relegation-threatened Leeds United on May 28.

Lucas Moura will depart Tottenham at the conclusion of the 2022/23 Premier League season
Tottenham have confirmed that Lucas Moura will leave the club at the end of the 2022/23 Premier League season following the conclusion of his contract. Signed from PSG in January 2018, the Brazilian, to date, has scored 38 goals in 219 appearances for the Lilywhites.
Scoring a number of important goals in his time in north London, supporters will always remember the player’s contribution on their way to the Champions League final after his semi-final hat-trick heroics away at Ajax. His double in the 3-0 win over Manchester United and his flying header at Man City seconds after his introduction from the bench will also live long in the memory.
In a video on the club’s Twitter account, the attacker sent an emotional message to supporters after his exit was confirmed.
“My Spurs, wherever I am, my heart will always be here. You are my club,” said Lucas. “It has been the greatest honour to defend this badge. Every flick, every tackle, every leap, every goal.
“From the highest of highs to the lowest of lows, from the beginning to the end, you sung my name. This has been my honour, this has been my dream. This will always be my home.
“Some nights we will never forget, written in history together. I will always love you no matter where I go. We will meet again. Come on you Spurs!”
Lucas’ last game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will come on Saturday afternoon when Spurs host Brentford in the Premier League. Tottenham then finish the campaign with an away game against Leeds United at Elland Road.
The club have also confirmed on their official website that a further update on their wider released and retained player list will be issued at the end of the 2022/23 campaign.
