Marcus Rashford happy with how Manchester United are improving under Erik ten Hag

Marcus Rashford sounds like he is impressed by the direction Manchester United are moving in under Erik ten Hag.

Speaking after Saturday’s 1-0 win over Wolves at Molineux, match-winner Marcus Rashford spoke to MUTV about how the team is developing and finding different ways to win football matches.

“I think for a team that’s developing – we’re striving to be the best we can be – you have to be able to win games in that fashion. I’m really pleased we managed to do it,” Rashford said, as quoted by The Independent.

“It’s a nice feeling for a forward to have that happening for them. It’s a difficult place for us to come to play our football and to win games, and we didn’t necessarily play our best football but we got three points.

“They’re a difficult team to break down, I think at that moment they were five at the back as well, so there was not much space to play with, but we managed to find the gaps and make it count.”

This all reads very well for United fans, who are hoping for a positive future under Ten Hag.

Rome wasn’t built in a day but I think it’s impossible not to see the progress we’ve made since Ten Hag arrived at the club.

Ten Hag also has Rashford playing back playing at his very best.

The England striker was axed from the starting XI on Saturday for being late for a team meeting. However, that didn’t stop Ten Hag bringing him on at half-time before the 25-year-old scored the game’s only goal.

An example of brilliant man management if you ask me.

Rashford will be aiming to continue his run of scoring in consecutive games when United take on Bournemouth on January 3.
