WWE’s most electrifying personality, The Rock, is as big a star in pro wrestling as he is in Hollywood.
Over the years, The Rock has radically transformed his physique. At 50, the Brahma Bull is as athletic and charismatic as he was in his prime. So what’s the Rock’s secret? The answer is hard work! The eight-time WWE Champion aims to be the hardest worker anywhere he goes. Standing at 6 ft 5, in the neighborhood of 250lbs, the Black Adam star carved out an impressive pro wrestling career. During his heyday in wrestling, The Rock was the front-runner of the Attitude Era alongside Stone Cold Steve Austin.
His transition into Hollywood made him one of the highest-paid actors in the world. He is also one of the most famous and globally recognized public figures, with the sixth-largest following on Instagram. Aside from being genetically gifted, The Great One has paid in blood and sweat to reach this juncture in his career with a highly envied physique.
Typically, many wrestlers lose their gains with age, but the People’s Champ shockingly continues to look as hard as his famous namesake, The “Rock”.
How many calories does The Rock consume in a day?
The wrestling veteran’s mountainous physique is a result of living a life of discipline. According to Men’s Health, The Rock eats nutrient-dense six meals a day to fuel his enormous muscles. However, it’s worth noting that his diet has changed over the years. The Rock has now increased his protein intake.
The Great One’s breakfast includes eggs, meat, complex carbs like oatmeal, and fruits. The second meal includes two cups of rice, chicken breasts, and some vegetables.
For lunch, The Rock eats rice again with chicken or buffalo and vegetables. The Rock devours fish or chicken, sweet potatoes, and vegetables for dinner. The Rock keeps close tabs on his macro counting as well. The Rock’s other two meals are similar and include a mix of proteins, complex carbs, and greens. In an interview with Delish, The Great One revealed that over the years, his diet has changed from 6000 to 8000 calories a day.
What does The Rock’s sleep regimen look like?
Although it is common knowledge that sleep is very essential for the recovery of muscles and that we need at least 8 hours of sleep at night, The Rock reportedly only sleeps for 5 hours a night given his arduous Hollywood schedule. The wrestler-turned-actor told Variety that he wakes up before sunrise at 4 am.
The Rock also stated that his sleep schedules are not very organized and that he sacrifices some hours to spend time alone in the quiet before dawn breaks.
“The only thing that’s regimented is I have to wake up before the sun gets up,” he said. “And I have my two hours alone when no one else is up and the house is quiet.”
