Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard and manager Mikel Arteta have scooped Premier League awards for November and December.
Odegaard has won the Player of the Month – or months as it is stretched across the World Cup break – while Arteta has won the Manager of the Month prize for that period.
The Gunners played four Premier League matches over the two months and won all four of them, with Odegaard producing three goals and three assists.
The Norwegian became only the second man from his country, after Erling Haaland, to win the Premier League award and was delighted with it.
‘It feels great,’ he said. ‘I’ve said a lot of times this team has a lot of young, hungry players and we play so well with each other.
‘It’s a pleasure to play with them and show my qualities so I’m very happy to get this award.’
Odegaard won through a public vote was combined with a panel of experts after being placed on a shortlist alongside Casemiro, Haaland, Ben Mee, Joao Palhinha, Marcus Rashford, Bukayo Saka and Kieran Trippier.

Speaking about working under Arteta, Odegaard told FourFourTwo: ‘Every day, I’m learning something new. There are so many details – body position, how to control the ball – and it helps us to improve.
‘He’s not just telling everyone what to do; he’s teaching us why. It helps the team to understand and to improve.’
Arsenal, who sit five points clear at the top of the table go to Tottenham for the north London derby on Sunday.
